A few weeks ago, I managed to totally wipe out the contents of my Weebly site.  Still not sure how it happened, but panic set in.  I contacted Weebly support and asked if they could help me.  After a couple of weeks of no response, I'd pretty much given up hope...until today.  Dan Veltri from the support staff contacted me saying all was well with my site...as you can see :- )  He apologized for the delay and reports that Weebly is in the process of beefing up their support staff to handle the increased number of requests they are receiving.  Cool beans!  My faith in Weebly has been restored!

It's time again for the Edublog Awards.  I would like to nominate the site created by Dr. Clif Mims as Best Teacher Blog and Best Educational Wiki.  Dr. Mims has spent a great deal of time creating and adding information to both of these sites.  He freely shares information and resources from both sites with colleagues and students  around the world.  With the use of his wiki and blog, Dr. Mims certainly makes his classroom and collaboration activities with colleagues a true global experience. 

I've been trying out Fleck for the past couple of days.  It's an online bookmarking tool that is not quite a feature rich as Delicious or Diigo.  With that said...if you're looking for a fairly simple online bookmarking tool give Fleck a try.

I've been testing out some new (or at least new to me) Web 2.0 tools the past few weeks.  One of my new favorites is Picnik.  Although I still love paint.net...picnik is great for quick edits that can be done online...nothing to download to your computer.  I was able to quickly create this picture of my boy, Murphy.

Check out Animoto for a really neat way to create slideshows.  Here's my first attempt to create a slideshow with it.

Had a chance to try ooVoo out over the summer in a class I was taking.  I was really impressed with the 3 way video conferencing.  Nice (and free) online video conferencing tool.

Virus Total is a service that analyzes suspicious files and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware detected by antivirus engines.
