I've accepted a new job with a charter school here in Shelby County. I'm now serving as the Director of Instructional Technology for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. I've created a Weebly site for the faculty at MASE to keep them up-to-date on what is going on in the world of educational technology and course design. You can check out our site here.

Lots of great examples of how VoiceThread is being used in classrooms. Click here to check out the wiki.
I've been pretty intrigued by Xtranormal. Seems like a great way to build out scenarios or case studies to share with students. The company moto is...if you can type, you can make movies. Play around with it and see what you think.
I've had the opportunity to write two guest blog posts for Dr. Michael Grant's blog. You can check them out at the following links:
If you're creating instruction for the web, you better be doing these 4 things What I learned from teaching children and how it changed my instruction I had a chance to present on mobile learning tools to our faculty special interest group. If you'd like to see the ustream archive or look over the resources check out my wiki here.
So today is the start of the Spring 2010 semester here at the University of Memphis. I'm listening to tunes on Pandora Radio, answering faculty emails, and thinking about what new tools and apps are out for me to discover. I can't think of anything that can top my love for my iPod Touch, Blackberry Storm, and various apps/tools I adore such as Evernote, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Wonder what cool, new techie things 2010 will bring? :- )
It's time again for the Edublog Awards. I would like to nominate the site created by Dr. Clif Mims as Best Teacher Blog and Best Educational Wiki. Dr. Mims has spent a great deal of time creating and adding information to both of these sites. He freely shares information and resources from both sites with colleagues and students around the world. As a student of Dr. Mims, I often access his site for resources and information. With the use of his wiki and blog, Dr. Mims certainly makes his classroom and collaboration activities with colleagues a true global experience.
Check out Tokbox! Allows online video calls with multiple participants as well as the option to send video messages. I like it! :- )
